What are your delivery charges?

Carriage Charges (UK Mainland):

• Web orders over £80: Free
• Web orders under £80: £7.50
• Non-web Orders over £150: Free
• Non-web Orders under £150: £7.50

Other:

• Before 10.30am: £8.95 extra
• Before noon: £5.95 extra
• Saturday: £8.95 extra

Please Note: Deliveries may arrive between 7 AM – 6 PM. We aim to dispatch same-day for orders placed before 4 PM.

Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major debit/credit cards except AMEX.

Sample Policy:

• Samples from stock are chargeable, but this cost is credited upon return.
• No carriage charge applies to samples.

For made to order tie samples:

Special Striped - we can supply a striped heading sample in 5-7 days UK or full sample tie offshore in 3-4 weeks.

Jacquard Ties (logo) - the same offshore lead time applies. For UK jacquards, a heading sample can be supplied in 10-14 days. Please note: a cancellation charge of up to £160 is applicable on UK jacquards if the design does not proceed to order after the jacquard has been set up.

Embroidery/Print Samples:

Any new design will be sampled for approval prior to bulk production.

Offshore Bespoke Bag Samples:

A sampling charge of £15 + VAT is applicable which is credited upon receipt of a bulk order.

Why can I sometimes see a repeat of the logo on the tail or neckband of a tie with a single logo?

This is due to maximising the use of the cloth in the production process to keep costs as low as possible. Rest assured that any logo repeat will not be visible when the tie is worn.

To ensure that the logo is not repeated on the tail or neckband, extra cloth has to be woven which incurs a surcharge of 25%.

Please check size and quality before printing or embroidery, as we cannot refund processed garments.

Returns are accepted at our discretion, subject to a 10% handling charge and carriage costs.

If we have sent incorrect goods, please notify us immediately by emailing returns@william-turner.co.uk and we will be in touch to arrange a collection.

Alternatively, you can raise a return online as follows:

• Click on the person icon at the top of the screen.
• Choose My account then click ‘My Invoices’.
• Search the order number (SO or WEB) that you want to return something from and click ‘View details’.
• Select ‘Return Order’.
• Click the square to the left of the item/s you wish to return, enter the quantity and a brief reason for the return in the’ Comments and Contact Information’.
• Click ‘Complete Return Request’ and a member of staff will be in touch to arrange a collection.

Faulty goods must be returned within six months of supply.

Goods shipped to a third party are at the purchaser’s risk. Please check all items before branding.

What do I need to know before placing an order?

• All orders are subject to our Terms & Conditions.
• Colour representation may vary due to printing limitations.
• Product availability may vary.
• All sizes listed are approximate garment measurements in inches.
• For orders where cloth is specially woven, the delivered quantity may be +/- 10% of the quantity ordered.
• The first presentation of artwork is free, but additional revisions may be chargeable.

Can VAT be removed from children’s clothing?

Yes. If the item is held out for sale for children under 14, VAT can be removed. This must be requested in writing at the time of order.

How long does production take?

Delivery forecasts are approximate and may take longer during peak seasons. We always strive to improve delivery times where possible.

For made in the UK ties, having total control of our own UK tie production does allow us flexibility to react to urgent delivery requests and we will always do our very best to meet a specific date if required.

What are the lead times for printing & embroidery?

• UK printing and embroidery is typically 7-10 days, depending on the time of year.
• Pricing varies based on size, colours, and quality, with a one-time origination charge.
• Simply send us your design, and we’ll provide a quote.
• Offshore printing & embroidery is available at reduced prices—average lead time is 8-10 weeks. Please enquire for details.

What are the minimum order quantities for bespoke products?

• Ties – from 36 depending on the size
• Bags – 50 minimum
• College scarves – 12 minimum
• Acrylic hats and scarves - 50 minimum
• Blouse scarves and tie presentation sets – 50 minimum

Can ties be washed in a washing machine?

• Standard self-tying ties can be machine washed at 40°.
• Clip on, Velcro neckband and elastic ties should be handwashed in cool water.
• Do not tumble dry.
• Silk ties should be dry cleaned.

Do you offer presentation boxes?

Presentation boxes (plain or branded) are available when ordering ties or ladies scarves at an additional cost. Please contact us for details.
